A-List Communication was founded in San Francisco by Amanda Peeters, a certified interpreter who has more than 10 years of field work in the industry. Being an experienced and certified interpreter, Ms. Peeters understands the code of ethics and standards of practice of the industry. A-List Communication is focused on bridging the language gap between businesses and the different cultures they are working with on a daily basis.
Ms. Peeters has a Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. She attended CERAM Sophia Antipolis where she studied International Business and French, and later worked in Paris for a financial consulting company as a marketing specialist for new market development. Ms. Peeters worked as a product manager for two prominent telecommunications companies in the U.S., and Electronic Arts as a marketing consultant in the U.S. and Shanghai where she led market research and analysis efforts on gaming in China.
Ms. Peeters is a Chinese native who is fluent in the three major Chinese dialects: Mandarin, Cantonese and Shanghainese. She holds a California court interpreter certification, and is very active in Federal and State courts throughout Northern California as a court interpreter during legal proceedings. Her expertise is in high-profile white-collar criminal and antitrust intellectual property matters. She held expert translator positions for both the U.S. Attorneys and the Defence Counsel on Federal criminal matters such as United States v. Cosco Busan, and acted as an expert interpreter for the first international criminal antitrust cartel trial in a decade, United States v. Au Optronics Corporations.
Ms. Peeters has extensive experience as a deposition interpreter for patent cases involving GPS, television, set top box, and semiconductor technology. She is a simultaneous OPI (over the phone interpreter) at the forefront of conference interpreting using streaming video, online messaging and other tech-centric line switching equipment. She has interpreted for Google, Symantec, Intuit and Hewlett Packard at technology trade shows and conferences worldwide.
