A-List Communication and Washington State’s “Vaccinate WA” Campaign

By the end of October in 2021, the state of Washington reached a total of 728k COVID-19 cases and 8,686 deaths caused by COVID. In July of 2021, Washington launched the state-wide “Vaccinate WA” campaign. Subsequently, as part of the public awareness campaign, Amanda Peeters of A-List Communication interviewed Dr. Mu in Mandarin and Dr. Lee in Cantonese about COVID vaccines for teens and children on various occasions. Through Crossings TV’s network, these educational programs have been broadcasted widely throughout the state of Washington and beyond.

Prior to the Food and Drug Administration authorizing emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 on October 29, 2021, many parents were concerned about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine for their younger children. Some teens had questions about the vaccines as well. The interviews conveyed the inquiries from the teens to the medical doctors for answers.
