Interpretation is the verbal conversion of language during a court hearing, arbitration session, trade show, conference, legal deposition, client meeting, business meeting, interview, etc. A-List Communication can offer interpreting services via face to face, telephone, or video remote conferences. We also have the capability to offer on-demand interpreting services over image sharing platforms with voice and/or video options.
Interpretative services are usually charged based upon the number of hours (or days) during which the interpreter is actively interpreting for the client. There are simultaneous and consecutive modes of interpretation. Simultaneous interpreting is when an interpreter renders the interpretation of a speaker’s speech in a source language into a different target language in a nearly simultaneous fashion. When there are multiple audience members listening to the interpretation, interpreting equipment such as portable/wireless equipment or an interpreter booth will be required. Consecutive interpreting is when an interpreter renders the interpretation of a speaker’s speech after the speaker has completed a sentence. The speaker waits until the target language has been stated to the audience and then utters his/her next sentence. The interpreter then interprets the next sentence again to the audience in a consecutive fashion. So on and so forth.
Sight translation is the conversion of written words in one language into spoken words in another language. Sight translation is a form of interpretation.

A-List Communication offers wireless equipment to our customers for certain interpretation settings. The wireless equipment includes a transmitter for the interpreter, and receivers and headsets for the listeners.
