A-List Communication’s Amanda Peeters interpreted for Au Ho Nien, a well known Chinese ink painting master in July 2019 during a lecture and exhibit of the artist at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco.
Among the most celebrated Lingnan School painters of recent decades, the 84-year-old Master Au is an artist whose work reinvents Chinese ink painting in a spirit of originality and dynamism. His work has evolved in achieving an integration of painting, poetry and calligraphy. Master Au has had more than sixty solo exhibitions in 14 countries in Asia and the West, and has earned several honorary degrees including seven doctorates from international universities.
